Born in Curacao , Mitchell Provence was involved with dancing since he can think and became one of the most talented dancers of his generation. After forming a strong knowledge in music and Salsa dancing with teachers like Eddie Torres, Frankie Martinez, Leo Garcia, Eric Lalta, Nene Vasquez and Walter Rebatta he raised his level of dancing and musicality not only in relation to Salsa but also to multiple other forms of dance such like Afro and Contemporary. Taking advantage of this solid dance and music foundation, Mitchell became fast one of the most respected and popular artists in the Salsa scene.

After dancing with the well-known Salsa Dance Squad in the Netherlands , he decided to go his own way in 2004. He moved to Germany where he met his actual dance partner Monica Melito who, originating from Bolivia also seems to live out her roots. Meanwhile she has become an ideal of smooth body movement and lady style in Germany and the whole Western Europe . Since 2002 she is dancing Salsa and her skills are improving fast in view of famous teachers like Mitchell Provence and inspired or influenced by Frankie Martinez.

In 2004, at the Zurich Salsa Congress, Monica and Mitchell found out that they blended well with each other and that the harmony of their dance style was amazing. Since this cooperation, many traits of Monica’s character have been playing a part in the development of Tambó Dance Project. Her movements’ cool and charming nature, the sexy style and the crazy aspects can never be overlooked, neither in her social dance nor in the shows. It is no secret that more and more people get addicted to her teaching in the light of her enthusiasm and the great feeling.

Together, Monica and Mitchell are expanding their horizons and there seem to be no limit for their creativity. This “dynamic duo” can do much more than only perform excellent shows: They can fill both every stage and every dance hall with a very special expressiveness and warmth that you will not only see with your eyes but also feel in your heart and soul.
